The City of Batavia seeks service-oriented professionals to join our team and assist us in providing an excellent level of service to our residents and businesses.
How do I apply and search for jobs at the City of Batavia?
Click on the Find Employment Opportunities image above to view current openings.
Applicants and resumes are only accepted online. Please do not email, mail, fax or submit resumes directly to City offices.
- Select the desired position.
- Click on the Apply tab.
- First-time users need to create an account with a username and password for future use. If you have previously applied for a position at an organization that uses the governmentjobs.com website you sign in with the same username and password.
- Complete each screen in the application wizard.
- Click on Accept and Submit upon completion.
What if I do not have access to a computer?
Applicants without computer access are encouraged to use a public venue that offers free access to internet-enabled computers, such as the Batavia Public Library.
Is there an age restriction to work for the City of Batavia?
Applicants must be 18 years of age or older to work as a City employee, unless otherwise noted in the job posting.
Does the City offer internships or seasonal work?
Yes. Internships and seasonal work are posted on the City's website with all other job opportunities. Generally, internships for summer employment are posted in February or March.
Do I have to live in Batavia to apply for a position?
When residency is required, it will be noted in the job posting. For opportunities with a residency requirement, please see the City of Batavia Residency Distance map.
