About the Electric Division

Electric division employees are responsible for maintaining the city's substations, transmission system, distribution system and fiber optic communications network. Division employees respond to electric outages, maintain street lights,  install new services and support the community by hanging flags, banners and holiday decorations.

To report a power outage or other issues that require urgent attention outside of normal business hours or on a holiday, you may call the Police Department non-emergency number at 630-454-2500 and the lineman on call will be dispatched.

Establishing Service

Individuals seeking to construct a new Commercial / Industrial electric service or modify an existing service are required to submit an application to the Community Development Department.
