Several years ago the City applied for and received $2.5 million in Federal Surface Transportation Funds (STP Funds) for Main Street, which is the maximum allowable Federal Funding that can be awarded.
Link to pageThe City of Batavia has been awarded Federal funding through the Kane-Kendall Council of Mayors (KKCOM) for the Prairie Street and Wilson Street Intersection Improvements Project (Stage 2). The City completed Phase I preliminary Engineering as part of the overall Prairie Street Improvements project in June 2019. Stage 1 (Pine Street to Wilson Street roadwork) construction was completed in December 2020.
