Residents whose homes or property were damaged during the July 3–4, 2026, storms are encouraged to complete the Kane County Office of Emergency Management's storm damage self-assessment survey.

The information collected will help local and state officials evaluate the overall impact of the storms and determine whether the region may qualify for disaster assistance. Completing the survey does not guarantee eligibility for federal assistance.
