Woodland hills electric project open house, tuesday, sept. 29, 4:30 to 6:30 PM, city hall, 100 n. island ave. Residents are invited to learn about the upcoming Woodland Hills electric system upgrade project.

The City of Batavia Electric Utility will host an open house Tuesday, Sept. 29, for residents to learn about the Woodland Hills Electric System Upgrade Project and ask questions about upcoming construction.

Construction is tentatively scheduled to begin Oct. 5 and continue through the end of 2027. The project will replace 60-year-old overhead electric lines with underground cables and power equipment. The work is intended to improve electric service reliability, reduce outages caused by trees and wildlife, and improve access for maintenance and emergency repairs.

Residents can stop by the open house anytime between 4:30 and 6:30 p.m. to learn more about the project and ask questions.
