🌳 Project Update: Michael Wild Park Drainage Improvements
Nearby residents may notice crews working in Michael Wild Park beginning tomorrow, March 11, as contractors begin removing invasive plant species as part of the park’s drainage improvement project.
This work is required by the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency as part of the project’s grant funding and is expected to take about one week to complete. After the removals are finished, there may be a short delay before the main construction work begins.

✅ The park playground will remain open
✅ No residential street closures are expected
If everything stays on schedule, the project is anticipated to be completed by early to mid-May.

For project details, visit https://www.bataviail.gov/o/pw/page/michael-wild-park-project
Thank you for your patience as we complete these improvements to help protect and improve the Mahoney Creek watershed and Michael Wild Park.
